Sensors

Sensors serve as the hardware components responsible for capturing diverse data pertaining to air quality. When specific conditions or changes in the air quality are detected, a new sensor reading is generated.

Measurements

Measurements originating from sensors encompass a diverse array of data points collected to quantify various environmental parameters.

Wildfires

Wildfire detections involve the recognition of a wildfire based on the data captured by a single sensor. This occurrence constitutes a one-time event with a specific detection time.

In contrast, wildfire events encompass a broader scope and are typically identified based on data from multiple sensors and/or multiple detections from a single sensor.

When a series of wildfire detections occur within close proximity or overlap in time, they contribute to the recognition of a wildfire event.
